
Arabella Mocciaro Li Destri is Full Professor of Management at the University of Palermo, Italy, is currently Deputy Chair of the Department of Economics, Management and Statistics and, until recently, Dear for Research of the Department. She is part of the University of Palermo’s Committee for the application of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. She has held visiting positions at MIT’s Sloan School of Management, Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and IAE Business School, Buenos Aires. She earned her PhD from the University of Catania. She is founding member and part of the international relations team of SIMA. Her research interests cover issues related to: network governance and cognitive performance, strategic alliances management, institutional contexts and firm innovation, post-scandal recovery and managerial irresponsibility.
For her research, she received several recognitions, including the Best Paper on the History of Corporate Social Responsibility Award 2014 from the Social Issues in Management Division of the Academy of Management and the 2016 “Outstanding Reviewer” Award from the Strategy Division of the Academy of Management. She has published three books and numerous articles in leading journals, such as Journal of Managerial Psychology, Advances in Strategic Management, Organization Studies and Long Range Planning.
